Creating art is a collaborative and personal process, and I want you to feel confident before moving forward with a purchase or commission.
Please review the following refund policy before placing an order.
Original Artwork
Original paintings may be eligible for a refund or cancellation if the order has not yet shipped.
Once artwork has been shipped, all sales are considered final unless the piece arrives damaged during transit.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact me within seven (7) days of delivery and include photos of both the artwork and its packaging so I can help determine the best solution.
Commissioned Artwork
Commissioned artwork requires a 50% deposit before work begins.
This deposit secures your place on my schedule and allows me to begin planning and preparing your custom piece.
Deposit Refunds
Commission deposits are fully refundable for up to twenty-four (24) hours after payment is received.
After the 24-hour refund period has passed, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
The artist reserves the right to decline or cancel a commission request at any time before work begins. In such cases, any payments received will be refunded in full.
Once Work Begins
Because commissioned artwork is created specifically for you, refunds cannot be issued once work has begun.
This includes time spent researching, sketching concepts, sourcing materials, painting, framing, or otherwise working on your project.
Final Payment
The remaining balance is due before artwork is shipped, delivered, or released to the client.
Changes and Revisions
Reasonable revisions may be accommodated during the creative process when possible.
Significant changes to the original concept, size, materials, or project scope may require additional fees and extended timelines.
Custom Artwork Returns
Due to the personalized nature of commissioned artwork, completed custom pieces are non-refundable and cannot be returned.
Color and Appearance
Every effort is made to accurately represent artwork through photographs and digital images.
Please note that colors may appear slightly different depending on screen settings, lighting conditions, and display devices.
Minor variations between digital images and physical artwork do not qualify for refunds.
Exceptions
Refund requests outside of the terms outlined above may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of By Kleine LLC.
